This is a supple, lush blend produced by celebrated Pomerol experts Ets. J-P Moueix. Founded in 1937 by the late Jean-Pierre Moueix, Ets. J-P Moueix enjoys a formidable reputation as both owner and merchant, responsible for some of the Right Bank’s greatest properties, whilst overseeing the blending and maturation of more modest acquisitions. This is a blend of some second wines from the top châteaux, mostly lying on the famous clay/ gravel plateau, allied to the production from more modest producers, where house bottling would be unviable. The result is a supple and beautifully balanced red, at its best with food.
